How to use this estimate
Measure only the lawn area: exclude paving, planting beds and permanent features. Sod and turf suppliers sell different roll and pallet sizes, so use the actual coverage on the quote. Curved edges and irregular layouts generally create more offcuts than a simple rectangle.

A worked example
A 20 × 10 ft lawn with 5% extra needs 210 ft². If a roll covers 9 ft², buy 24 rolls covering 216 ft².
No allowance for soil preparation, irrigation, delivery or labor is included. Coordinate delivery with installation; live turf is not a material to store indefinitely.
Common questions
How do I convert rolls into pallets?
Ask for the number of rolls or coverage per pallet. Divide the calculated purchased quantity by that capacity and check whether partial pallets can be ordered.
